Quo in the Castle!
Merthyr Tydfil will be rocking all over the world on Saturday 26 July 2008 when Cyfarthfa Castle plays host to legendary rockers Status Quo.
Following the success of last year’s Donny Osmond homecoming gig, Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council has confirmed that Status Quo will be headlining the open-air concert that is planned as a full day event this summer where the Council is expecting an attendance of up to 15,000 fans.
Status Quo, one of Britain’s best-loved bands, who formed in 1967, will appear in the grounds of Cyfarthfa Park, as part of the “In Search of the Fourth Chord” tour. This current tour – named after the current album - will see Quo performing across the world taking in dates in Switzerland, Austria, Sweden amongst others and now in the South Wales region.
