Gather your foodie friends together and make your way to Cardiff Castle for Britain’s biggest cheeseboard and the Glastonbury of the food world. Featuring many of your favourite cheeses, alongside cheeses you have never heard of, Britain’s best cheese makers are here to excite the taste buds with an array of their award-winning artisan produce. And with samplings and tastings, masterclasses and demonstrations, you’ll get a real insight into the subtle art of cheese making. The wine, ale and perry will flow, the perfect accompaniment to cheese, so kick back, relax, enjoy the entertainment and drink in the atmosphere in the fantastic setting of Cardiff Castle.

• With almost 100 cheese makers represented in Britain’s Biggest Cheese Market featuring over 450 British and Irish cheeses, this is the focal point of the Festival
• The True Taste of Wales Market is designed to highlight both traditional and new Welsh food and drink
• The Best of British Market will offer visitors a kaleidoscope of flavours to tempt and inspire, Some like Pieminister’s pies are old favourites, others like Burnt Sugar are new to the Festival with their fabulous fudge
• The Cardiff Arms will be a haven for the thirsty and the curious – the perfect antidote to too much cheese. Just like a real pub!

A key feature of the festival is the chance to find out more about cheese, with 4 venues dedicated to educating and inspiring our visitors.

School for Big Cheeses.
The ‘school‘ consists of 22 masterclasses held in 2 large marquees
• The Apprentices Hall for families and cheese lovers
• The Dragon’s Den for cheese, wine and food fanatics
The Dairy.
This marquee is dedicated to Cheesemaking demonstrations, one of the most popular events of the Festival that appeals to all ages.
The Hall of Champions.
A chance to meet the judges, talk to the cheesemakers and taste some of the medal and award winning cheese from the 2009 British Cheese Awards.
The Vineyard.
These wine workshops are designed to demystify wine and educate your palate by tasting a range of the old world and new world wines.
